Many people have studied them, but they have some problems.Millimeter-wave traveling-wave tubes (TWTs) are the core power source for 5G/6G millimeter-wave communication and radar systems. However, the traditional folded waveguide slow-wave structures face the contradiction between wide bandwidth and high coupling impedance in the W-band, which limits the further improvement of the devices power and efficiency.创新 结果We made a new structure, did some simulation and test, and got good results.To solve this problem, we proposed a ridge-loaded folded waveguide slow-wave structure for the first time. Compared with the traditional folded waveguide structure, the proposed scheme achieves a wider relative bandwidth and higher coupling impedance, and the processing difficulty does not increase significantly.We established a three-dimensional electromagnetic simulation model of the proposed structure, and systematically analyzed the influence of ridge height, dielectric layer thickness and other key parameters on the high-frequency characteristics of the slow-wave structure.
